Hey everyone!
Some of you may have known that I was in Austin Texas, streaming Texas Robot Roundup last weekend. It was another fun road trip with Paul, and it actually went incredibly well!
Click on to see how we did it!
Austin Texas! wow what an awesome city!
Paul and I drove up Thursday morning, we made it into town around noon and after lunch with some family we were off to Anderson High School. After a fair amount of confusion, (and a visit to the capitol!) we started setting up.

Paul pulls some cable
And I pull some cable....
All in all we pulled over 1500ft of cable!
Here's a map (click to enlarge)
(not to scale, some cables had some excess spooled on one end, but most didn't)
We worked at the school till they turned the lights out on us Thursday night Getting the booth set up.
( I think apple should sponsor us, given how often I show they're logo while I work)

One thing I wish I had a picture of but don't, is us rigging up our remote camera, an Axis p1344
(Remote camera's are one of R24's specialties according to our shiny new business model)
Once we had everything set up and we got settled in Friday morning, we began getting comfortable with our software and workflow. We had quite a few issues! multiple crashes and several issues with the scoring integration (documented here on the wirecast forums)
Paul rockin it like the big city producers do!
Eddie, Paul and Angel, bummin around.
At some point in time we did run off to eat, Pauls cup of tea melted in his car! hows that for Texas heat!
And just like that, It was tear-down time.
Just as fast as it came, the field was packed away, and our gear was quickly heading the same direction. We packed and packed till about 9pm, and then we hit the road! Even at our best pace we wouldn't be home 'till 1am, but at least I didn't have anything to do but unpack on Sunday (Paul couldn't say the same, he had to be up early hah!)
Hopefully I can get some screencaps or some video to show off, I received quite a few complements regarding the stream! All I can say is, it could have gone better, but it went very VERY well, much much better than Arkansas. You guys can look forward to a post on the P1344 and some upcoming business announcements in the near future!
